I guess it counts as a good vacation; it was about 4.5 days and it felt like two weeks! Jonathan was real good on the plane. He only fussed a little when he got tired. Jonathan did real well living out of a suitcase. The only thing he really had a problem with was going to sleep. He wanted to investigate every inch of the hotel room and didn't want to miss anything, so we had to work really hard to get him down for his naps and for the night. When we got home last night he took about a three hour nap! And thankfully he seems to be getting back on schedule rather quickly!
The wedding was absolutely perfect! The Bride was beautiful, the location was gorgeous, the weather was perfect, you really couldn't ask for more! Jonathan was not in the mood to walk down the aisle, so we had to carry him. But he was good through the ceremony and on through the reception.
We regret that we did not get to see more of Rose, but that was her choice. We did get an opportunity to go to the Albanese Candy Factory. The tour of the factory was a bit of a let down, but they had an amazing assortment of novelty candy items! You could actually buy a whole case of candy cigarettes! I resisted the temptation, because parents might think candy cigarettes were in poor taste. I wanted to buy one of those huge 4 inch jawbreakers for our nephew, but Mike wouldn't let me. It's a good thing we do not live closer, I'd be in there all the time and everyone would be getting candy for every special occasion!
